Donghua University (DHU, ) is a public research university in Shanghai, China. "Donghua" literally means East China. Established in 1951, it is directly administered by the Ministry of Education of China as part of the Double First Class University Plan and former Project 211 for National Key Universities. Academic Ranking Of World Universities
The ''Academic Ranking of World Universities'' (''ARWU''), also known as the Shanghai Ranking, is one of the annual publications of world university rankings. The league table was originally compiled and issued by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2003, making it the first global university ranking with multifarious indicators. Since 2009, ARWU has been published and copyrighted annually by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, an organization focusing on higher education that is not legally subordinated to any universities or government agencies. Program of Introducing Talents of Discipline to Universities, Plan 111, also be referred to as Project 111 or 111 Project () is a project initiated in 2006 by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China (MOE) and State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA) to establish innovation centers for the purposes of technology transfer. In 2005, the MOE announced the creation of 100 innovation centers as part of the plan. The plan aimed to bring in about 1,000 overseas experts from the top 100 universities and research institutes worldwide. Times Higher Education World University Rankings
The ''Times Higher Education World University Rankings'' (often referred to as the THE Rankings) is an annual publication of university rankings by the ''Times Higher Education'' (THE) magazine. The publisher had collaborated with Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) to publish the joint ''THE-QS World University Rankings'' from 2004 to 2009 before it turned to Thomson Reuters for a new ranking system from 2010 to 2013.
