Dongcheng Subdistrict, Dongguan
Dongcheng Subdistrict () is one of the four subdistricts of Dongguan, Guangdong Province, China. The subdistrict has an area of 105.9 square kilometers, and, as of 2019, has a permanent population of around 500,000, and a registered population of around 99,500. Dongcheng Subdistrict's GDP as of 2019 is ¥58.656 billion. History In 1958, Fucheng Commune () was established. The commune existed until 1983, when it was changed to a district. The district was revoked in 1988 for Fucheng Subdistrict. In March 2000, Dongguan renamed Fucheng Subdistrict to Dongcheng Subdistrict. Administrative divisions Dongcheng is divided into 23 residential communities and 2 living districts (). Dongguan Rail Transit or Dongguan Metro is the rapid transit system of the city of Dongguan in Guangdong Province of China. Line 2 of the Dongguan Rail Transit () is a subway line in Dongguan. The line currently has 15 stations and is long, from Dongguan railway station to Humen railway station. It opened on 27 May 2016.
