Doncaster Rugby League Football Club (RLFC) is a professional rugby league, rugby league football club, from Doncaster, South Yorkshire. They play in the third tier League 1 (rugby league), League 1. They have previously been known as Doncaster Dragons (1995–2005) and Doncaster Lakers (2006–2007). They were also previously informally known as ''The Dons'', but it is now their official nickname. History 1951–1994: Foundation From 1956–1961, Doncaster finished every season as the bottom side in the Rugby Football League, and remained consistently in the bottom three between 1963 and 1968. Stainforth () is a town and civil parish in the City of Doncaster, in South Yorkshire, England. It is around north-east of Doncaster, close to Hatfield and Thorne. The Sheffield Eagles are a professional rugby league club that play in the Betfred Championship. The club play their home games at the Olympic Legacy Park (OLP) on the former site of Don Valley Stadium, their former ground. Mount Pleasant stadium, officially known for commercial sponsorship purposes as Fox's Biscuits Stadium, is a rugby league stadium in Batley, West Yorkshire, England. It is the home of the Batley Bulldogs. The Mount Pleasant pitch is sloped and is on a hill overlooking Batley. The end of the ground at the top of the hill has three grandstands. Behind the rugby posts is a terraced stand, which houses the players changing rooms and executive boxes. At the opposite end at the bottom of the hill is an open terraced stand.
