Ferenc Donáth
Ferenc Donáth (born 28 June 1954) is a retired Hungarian gymnast. He competed at the 1976 Summer Olympics, 1976 and 1980 Summer Olympics in all artistic gymnastics events and finished in fourth and third place with the Hungarian team, respectively. Gyula Donáth
Gyula Donáth (March 13, 1850 – September 27, 1909), was a Hungarian sculptor. He was born in Pest and studied in Vienna with G. Semper. From 1880 onwards he worked in Budapest. His sculptural style integrated elements of classicism and academic as well as the Art Nouveau styles. Much of his output as a sculptor was creating plastic art for tombs, though he also created public monuments for both the Millennium of Hungary (1898) and the Imperial Jubilee, (1908). It was Donáth who sculpted the "Statue of WerbÅ‘czi" (since then demolished). Donáth's huge bronze Turul on the railing of Buda Castle, high above the Danube, was erected in 1905. Helen Donath
Helen Jeanette Donath (née Erwin; born July 10, 1940) is an American soprano with a career spanning fifty years. Biography She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and studied there at Del Mar College. Later she studied in New York with Paola Novikova. She debuted as a concert and Lieder singer in New York in 1958. In 1961, she became a member of the at the Cologne Opera. She sang from 1963 until 1968 at the Staatsoper Hannover where she met her future husband, choir master and conductor Klaus Donath. Their son, Alexander Donath, is a stage and opera director. Ludwig Donath (6 March 1900 – 29 September 1967), was an Austrian actor who appeared in many American films. Life Born to a Jewish family, Donath graduated from Vienna's Academy of Dramatic Art and became a prominent actor on the stage in Berlin. When Hitler came to power in 1933, he returned to Vienna and was active there in theater and film until the Anschluss in 1938.
