Donald Steinbeisser
Donald Steinbeisser (April 15, 1935 – September 12, 2020) was Republican member of the Montana Legislature. He served Senate District 19, representing Sidney, Montana from 2005 to 2012. He previously served two terms in the Montana House of Representatives The Montana House of Representatives is, with the Montana Senate, one of the two houses of the Montana Legislature. Matthew Martin Rosendale Sr. (born July 7, 1960) is an American politician and businessman from Montana. A member of the Republican Party, he is the U.S. representative for Montana's at-large congressional district, elected in 2020. Prior to taking office as a congressman, Rosendale served as the Montana State Auditor and Commissioner of Securities and Insurance. He was also a member of the Montana Legislature from 2011 to 2017, serving in both houses. Early life and career Rosendale was born and raised in Maryland. He spent his career working in real estate, real estate development and land management. He grew his family real estate business from a single, five agent office into a full-service firm with 65 agents and four offices. Sidney is a city in and the county seat of Richland County, Montana, United States, less than west of the North Dakota border. The population was 6,346 at the 2020 census. The city lies along the Yellowstone River and is in proximity to the badlands of the Dakotas. Sidney is approximately midway between Glendive, Montana and Williston, North Dakota. The Montana State Legislature is the state legislature of the U.S. state of Montana. It is composed of the 100-member Montana House of Representatives and the 50-member Montana Senate. The Montana Constitution dictates that the legislature meet in regular session for no longer than 90 days in each odd-numbered year. The primary work of the legislature is to pass a balanced biennial budget which must then be approved by the governor. If the governor vetoes a bill, the legislature may override the veto by a two-thirds vote.
