Donald Robertson (New Zealand)
Donald Robertson (1860 – 31 May 1942) was the first Public Service Commissioner in New Zealand. Prior to being the Public Service Commissioner, he was Secretary of the Post & Telegraph Department. He wrote the ''Early History of the New Zealand Post Office''. When he retired he lived in the south of France, but came back to New Zealand in the depression. He was born in Dunedin, and died in a Wanganui private hospital. Robertson married Edith Martin in 1883. They had two sons, Philip Robertson and Major H. D. Robertson of the NZMC. Donald "XL" Robertson is an American hip-hop recording artist, record producer and entrepreneur, born and raised in New Orleans. Background Donald XL Robertson was exposed to soul, Funk & Jazz music at a very young age raised in The Big Easy a city known for its rich jazz and Bounce music heritage. Donald Struan Robertson
Donald Struan Robertson, FBA (28 June 1885 – 5 October 1961) was a classical scholar, particularly noted for his work on Apuleius, and for 22 years the Regius Professor of Greek at the University of Cambridge. Life Robertson was born in London, the son of Agnes Lucy Turner, a descendant of Robert Chamberlain (''d''. 1798), ceramicist, and Henry Robert Robertson (1839–1921), an artist. After education at Westminster School, he won a scholarship to Trinity College, Cambridge, and was placed in the first class of both parts of the Classical Tripos, graduating in 1908. Donald Robertson, (born 7 March 1962) is an artist and a creative director for Esteé Lauder Companies. Early life Robertson was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He moved to New York in the early 1990s and lived in Larchmont, then relocated to Santa Barbara in the neighborhood of Montecito. He moved to Texas in December 2020. Career Beginning In the 1980s, Robertson attended the Ontario College of Art and Design. He did not complete his education there as he was asked to leave due to his disregard of realism, drawing people "longer and skinnier than they were." When MAC Cosmetics launched in 1984, Robertson assisted with creative direction. In 1991, Robertson moved to New York City and worked at Hearst Communications where he launched ''Marie Claire'' magazine in 1993. He then redesigned '' Cosmopolitan'' with editor Bonnie Fuller. Before his refereeing career, Robertson was a player with Partick Thistle Partick Thistle Football Club are a professional association football, football club from Glasgow, Scotland.
