Queens Park AFC
Queens Park AFC is a football club, based in Invercargill, New Zealand. The club participates in the Southern Football Premier League. and has its home ground at Surrey Park. History Queens Park Association Football Club was formed in 1957 by Alexander Stojkovich and in 1958 the team made its debut in the local Invercargill Second Grade competition. In 1960 the senior team was promoted to the premier Southland competition, the Donald Gray Memorial Cup. When the Southern League was formed in 1968, Queens Park entered the First Division, finishing 9th. Waihopai AFC
Waihopai is a football club based in Invercargill, New Zealand. The club now serves as a feeder club to the Southland United team. Waihopai was founded in 1950 and plays its home games at Surrey Park. Waihopai was part of the Southern League from 1975 to 1999 and was also a member of the FootballSouth Premier League in 2000, prior to the 2001 creation of the united Southland Spirit FC team. Waihopai reached the quarter-finals of the Chatham Cup in 1964, having qualified as the champion side in the Southland Region. Southland Boys' High School
Southland Boys' High School (SBHS) is an all-boys school in Invercargill, New Zealand, and has been the only one in the city since Marist Brothers was merged with St Catherines to form Verdon College in 1982. History SBHS was founded in 1881 and, in 1926, the original brick building was opened on the present Herbert St site. This building is called the Pearce Block in memory of Mr T. Pearce who was rector from around 1904 to 1929. Subsequent buildings were named after George Uttley, Malcolm Leadbetter, Don Grant and Laurie Cornwell. The gymnasium was named after Jim Page. The west end of the Pearce Block suffered a fire during Easter 1980 which was well recorded in the 1980 year book "The Southlandian". Old Boys' Association Football Club is a junior and senior football club based in the southern New Zealand city of Invercargill.
