Don Valley North (french: Don Valley-Nord) is a provincial electoral district in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It elects one member to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. Don Valley North consists of the part of the City of Toronto lying within the following limits: commencing at the intersection of Bayview Avenue and Steeles Avenue East; east to Victoria Park Avenue, south to Highway 401, west to the Don River East Branch, north to Finch Avenue East, west along Finch Avenue to Bayview Avenue, and then north along Bayview Avenue to the point of commencement. This riding was created from parts of Willowdale and Don Valley East during the 2012 electoral redistribution. Don Valley North
Don Valley North (french: Don Valley-Nord) is a federal electoral district (Canada), electoral district in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1988 to 1997 and since 2015. Don Valley North covers the area of the City of Toronto bounded by Steeles Avenue , Steeles Avenue East to the north, Highway 401 (Ontario), Highway 401 to the south, Bayview Avenue to the west, and Victoria Park Avenue to the east. Former North York city council member Barbara Greene, a Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, Progressive Conservative, was elected as its first Member of Parliament in the 1988 election. Henry Farm
Henry Farm is a neighbourhood in the City of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the north central part of the city within the former city of North York. The City of Toronto has officially designated the neighbourhood of Henry Farm to encompass the Parkway Forest residential subdivision, between Don Mills Road and Highway 404. The neighbourhood is served by the Henry Farm Community Interest Association. History Henry Farm was settled in 1806 by Henry Mulholland, a native of Clones, County Monaghan, Ireland. He later sold the farm, but his great-grandson, George Stewart Henry, reacquired it in 1898. Henry was the tenth Premier of Ontario from 1930-34. Ten days before his death in 1958, Henry sold his farm for to the developers of the present-day neighbourhood. Shelley Carroll
Shelley Carroll is a Canadian politician who has represented Ward 17 Don Valley North on Toronto City Council since 2018. Pleasant View is a neighbourhood in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada that is located in the district of North York at the northern end of the city. It is bordered by Victoria Park to the East, Sheppard Avenue to the South, Highway 404 to the west and the Finch hydro corridor to the north (north of Finch Avenue). Don Valley Village is a neighbourhood in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the former suburb of North York. Located north of Highway 401 and bisected by Don Mills Road, it is bounded by Sheppard Avenue to the south, Leslie Street to the west, Finch Avenue to the north and Highway 404 to the east. Hillcrest Village is a neighbourhood located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the northern district of North York. It is bordered by Finch to the South, Leslie Street to the West, Steeles to the North and Victoria Park to the East. Both neighbourhoods share the Don Valley as a point of reference in the Eastern border of the neighbourhoods. The Don valley provides a hillside landscape in the east end of the neighbourhood. Bayview Woods-Steeles is a neighbourhood located in the northern tip of the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada in the district of North York. It is part of federal and provincial electoral district Don Valley North, and Toronto electoral ward 17: Don Valley North. In 2006, it had a population of 13,295. The area is divided by a series of ravines, and is often not considered a neighbourhood unto itself. Rather the sections are more often divided between the neighbouring areas of Hillcrest Village, Bayview Village, and Newtonbrook. The neighbourhood is bordered by Steeles Avenue East to the north, Leslie Street to the east, Bayview Avenue to the west, and Finch Avenue East to the south. Bayview Village is an neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is part of the federal Don Valley North riding and the provincial Don Valley North electoral district, and Toronto electoral Ward 17: Don Valley North. In 2006, it had a population of 15,370. The area is bordered on the north by Finch Avenue East, on the west by Bayview Avenue, on the east by Leslie Street, and on the south by Highway 401, and also including the grounds of North York General Hospital, east of Leslie in the neighbourhood's southeast corner, according to the City of Toronto's definition. The Bayview Village Association regards the east boundary as the Don River (east branch) and the south boundary as Sheppard Avenue East, thereby excluding land between the Don River and Leslie, Sheppard and Highway 401. |
North York
North York is one of the six administrative districts of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located directly north of York, Old Toronto and East York, between Etobicoke to the west and Scarborough to the east. As of the 2016 Census, it had a population of 869,401. North York was created as a township in 1922 out of the northern part of the former township of York, a municipality that was located along the western border of Old Toronto.
