Don Tripp
Don L. Tripp (born February 23, 1946 in Pasadena, California) is an American politician who served as a Republican member of the New Mexico House of Representatives for District 49 from January 1999 to 2017. Education Tripp earned his BA from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Write-in Candidate
A write-in candidate is a candidate whose name does not appear on the ballot but seeks election by asking voters to cast a vote for the candidate by physically writing in the person's name on the ballot. Depending on electoral law it may be possible to win an election by winning a sufficient number of such write-in votes, which count equally as if the person was formally listed on the ballot. Writing in a name that is not already on the election ballot is considered a practice of the United States. However, some other jurisdictions have allowed this practice. Brian Egolf (born September 10, 1976) is an American attorney and politician who has served as a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives since 2009. He has also served as speaker of the House since 2017. Early life and education Egolf was born in Oklahoma City and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law. Career In the 2017 legislative session, Egolf served on the Judiciary, Rules and Order of Business, and Taxation & Revenue Committees.
