Ashim Samanta
Ashim Samanta is an Indian film and television director and producer, and the son of film director and Shakti Films founder Shakti Samanta. Shortly after receiving his bachelor's degree in commerce from Bombay University in 1976, Samanta started his career in India's film industry as assistant director to Brij Sadanah on ''Bombay 405 Miles''. In 1982, he directed his first film, ''Aamne Samne (1982 film), Aamne Samne''. He has directed several films since then. He also directed the 52-episode sitcom ''Dil Vil Pyar Vyar'' for Sony TV in 1999. In 2005, he started working on ''Antariksh – Ek Amar Katha'', a science fiction series for Star Plus. Shantanu Mukherjee (born 30 September 1972), popularly known as Shaan, is an Indian playback singer, composer, live perfomer ,actor and television personality. Birbal (actor)
Birbal (; born Mahesh Das; 1528 16 February 1586), or Raja Birbal, was a Saraswat Hindu Bhatt Brahmin advisor and main commander (''Mukhya Senapati'') of army in the court of the Mughal emperor, Akbar. He is mostly known in the Indian subcontinent for the folk tales which focus on his wit. Birbal was appointed by Akbar as a Minister (Mantri) and used to be a Poet and Singer in around 1556–1562. He had a close association with Emperor Akbar and was one of his most important courtiers, part of a group called the ''navaratnas'' (nine jewels). In February 1586, Birbal led an army to crush an unrest in the north-west Indian subcontinent where he was killed along with many troops in an ambush by the rebel tribe. He was the only Hindu to adopt Din-i Ilahi, the religion founded by Akbar. Birbal was one of the first officers to join Akbar's court, possibly as early as 1556, when he was twenty-eight years old.
