Don Larway
John Donald "Don" Larway (February 12, 1954 – November 9, 2019) was a professional ice hockey player who played 324 games in the World Hockey Association (WHA). He died in November 2019 in Houston, where he had resided for many years, working as a professional videographer for the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League, Houston Rockets and Houston Astros. Nicknamed "Dart". Western Hockey League
The Western Hockey League (WHL) is a major junior ice hockey league based in Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. The WHL is one of three leagues that constitutes the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) as the highest level of junior hockey in Canada. Teams play for the Ed Chynoweth Cup, with the winner moving on to play for the Memorial Cup, Canada's national junior championship. Doug Halward
Douglas Robert Halward (born November 1, 1955) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played 663 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Boston Bruins, Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks, Detroit Red Wings and Edmonton Oilers. André Savard
Joseph André Denis Savard (born February 9, 1953) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey center. He featured in the 1974 Stanley Cup Final with the Boston Bruins. Playing career Savard played 790 National Hockey League games for Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres and Quebec Nordiques. He was drafted sixth overall in the 1973 NHL Amateur Draft by the Boston Bruins. He tallied 482 points (211 goals, 271 assists) during his career. He served as head coach of the Quebec Nordiques. Savard was also a scout for the Ottawa Senators from 1994–1999 before being named an assistant coach for Ottawa. He was the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens from November 20, 2000, until the end of the 2002–2003 regular season when he stepped aside to allow Bob Gainey to become general manager. The Adirondack Red Wings were a minor professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League. They played in Glens Falls, New York, United States at the Glens Falls Civic Center. Kalamazoo Wings (1974–2000)
The Kalamazoo Wings, nicknamed the K-Wings, were a professional ice hockey team in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The team played in the International Hockey League from the 1974–75 season to the 1999–2000 season. The team played in Wings Stadium and was affiliated with the National Hockey League's Detroit Red Wings, Minnesota North Stars, and the Dallas Stars. History That team, which had named itself for its affiliation with the NHL Detroit Red Wings, changed its name during the 1995 playoffs to the Michigan K-Wings because the league wanted to raise its appeal for expanding to larger markets. Rochester Americans
The Rochester Americans (colloquially known as the Amerks) are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League; the team is an owned and operated affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres. The team plays its home games in Rochester, New York, at the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial. The Americans are the fourth oldest franchise in the AHL, and have the second longest continuous tenure among AHL teams in their current locations after the Hershey Bears.
