Don Langsford
Donald Leslie Langsford (born 7 May 1959) is a former Australian rules footballer who was highly successful in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) playing for the Swan Districts Football Club. Langsford was initially recruited from the Scotch College, Perth and commenced his long WAFL career in 1977. A noted defender, Langsford played mostly on the half back flank, but still managed to kick 60 career goals. He also played in four WAFL grandfinals. Swan Districts entered a period of remarkable success in the early 1980s by winning a hat-trick of premierships in 1982, 1983 and 1984 with Langsford being an integral part of the team. His best year was in 1983 when he was awarded the "Westside Football" Player of the Year award. Cummins, South Australia
Cummins is a town on Eyre Peninsula in South Australia, 67 km north of Port Lincoln and 60 m above sea level. At the 2011 census, the town had a population of 719. Cummins was named after William Patrick Cummins, a member of the South Australian House of Assembly from 1896 to 1907. The town of Cummins was developed in 1910 a few years after the first settlers in the area arrived. The railway to Port Lincoln arrived in 1907. The bounded locality of Cummins includes the former railway sidings of Pillana (south of the town) and Wildeloo (north of it). The major industries are sheep farming and cereal grain growing. Swan Districts Football Club
The Swan Districts Football Club, nicknamed the Swans, is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). The club is based at Bassendean Oval, in Bassendean, an eastern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The club was formed in 1932, and joined the then-Western Australian National Football League (WANFL) in 1934, acting as a successor to the Midland Junction Football Club, which had disbanded during World War I, in the Perth Hills region. The West Coast Eagles are a professional Australian rules football club based in Perth, Western Australia. The club was founded in 1986 as one of two expansion teams in the Australian Football League (AFL), then known as the Victorian Football League.
