Don Durham
Donald Gary Durham (born March 21, 1949) is a former pitcher in Major League Baseball. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers. Born in Yosemite, Kentucky, Durham attended Western Kentucky University and was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 7th round of the 1970 MLB Draft. Durham holds the MLB record for most at-bats for a player who hit .500 or better in a career as he collected 7 hits in 14 career at-bats for an even .500 batting average. After his baseball career ended, Durham worked as president of an auto body shop in Nashville. Pitcher
In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. In the numbering system used to record defensive plays, the pitcher is assigned the number 1. The pitcher is often considered the most important player on the defensive side of the game, and as such is situated at the right end of the defensive spectrum. The Tulsa Oilers are a professional ice hockey team based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and play in the ECHL. The Oilers played their home games at the Tulsa Convention Center until 2008 when they moved into the new BOK Center.
