"Don't Let the Feeling Go" is a song by British house music group Nightcrawlers and released in August 1995 by Arista, BMG and Final Vinyl as the third single from the group's only album, ''Lets Push It'' (1995). The song is produced by American DJ and record producer MK, and written by John Reid with Kinchen and Graham Wilson. In the UK, it peaked at number 13 during its first week on the UK Singles Chart, on 9 September 1995. "Don't Let the Feeling Go" became a hit also in other countries, such as Finland, where it peaked at number five, and in Belgium, Ireland, Scotland, Sweden and Switzerland, where the single reached the top 30. Its music video was directed by Guy Ritchie. Nightcrawlers (band)
Nightcrawlers is a British house music project from Glasgow, Scotland, assembled by producer, DJ and vocalist John Reid (born 6 September 1963). Career Beginnings: 1992–1996 In the early 90s, the band Nightcrawlers was formed as a more soul and funk-influenced pop act and featured vocalist John Reid (who had some local success as a DJ and vocalist with a number of other acts in the late 1980s). The band signed to Island Records' 4th & Broadway record label and released their debut single "Living Inside a Dream", which failed to reach any commercial success. The band then decided to release a second single, " Push the Feeling On", which also failed to go Top 40 in its original acid jazz-styled version and so the band were dropped from Island records, splitting up not so long afterwards. "Do Ya Wanna Funk" is a 1982 dance song recorded by American recording artists Sylvester and Patrick Cowley. It was produced by Cowley, who incidentally died the same year. The song was mostly successful in Europe, especially in Belgium, Finland and Norway, where it became a top-10 hit. It also reached the top 20 in the Netherlands and Switzerland, and made it to the top 30 in West Germany and Australia, and the top 40 in the United Kingdom. The song was inspired by "I'm Your Jeanie", a single by Jeanie Tracy, who was a background vocalist for Sylvester. It was also featured in the film ''Trading Places'' (1983). The European Dance Radio Chart (also known as European Dance Radio Top 25) was a weekly chart compiled by pan-European magazine ''Music & Media''. After dance music had played a more dominant role on the magazine's Eurochart Hot 100 in the beginning of the 1990s, the new chart was launched on 28 September 1991. Staccato (; Italian for "detached") is a form of musical articulation. In modern notation, it signifies a note of shortened duration, separated from the note that may follow by silence. It has been described by theorists and has appeared in music since at least 1676. ''Record Mirror'' was a British weekly music newspaper between 1954 and 1991 for pop fans and record collectors. Launched two years after the ''NME'', it never attained the circulation of its rival. James Hamilton (25 December 1942 – 17 June 1996) was a British DJ and dance music columnist for ''Record Mirror'', and later for ''Music Week'', where he worked until his death in 1996. He is recognised as a pioneering advocate of disco mixing in the UK and the addition of beats per minute (bpm) calculations to record reviews. Hamilton started as a DJ in his early 20s, playing rhythm & blues in a nightclubs in London. He then headed to New York to work for Seltaeb, the US company who’d acquired the merchandising rights for The Beatles, becoming a talent scout for their newly formed music division. After returning to the UK, he adopted the DJ name Doctor Soul, and also compiled an album with this title for Sue Records.
