Joel Dommett
Joel Patrick Dommett (born 8 June 1985) is an English actor, author, comedian, and television presenter. He is known for his television roles in '' Live in Chelsea'', ''Impractical Jokers UK'', '' I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!,'' ''Joel & Nish vs The World'' and from 2020 onwards has been the host of '' The Masked Singer UK''. Early life Dommett is originally from Rockhampton, Gloucestershire and attended The Castle School in Thornbury. As a teenager he was a member of a nu metal band called Psirus, which played five shows. He moved to London at the age of 19. Leonard Bertram Dommett OBE (21 December 192811 April 2006) was an Australian violinist, conductor, and teacher. Biography Leonard Dommett was born in Toowoomba, Queensland, where his father ran a general store. His grandparents had performed professionally in concerts and summer entertainments in the beach towns of southern England, at which Charlie Chaplin had once performed as a guest artist. He had four talented siblings: one brother played bassoon and saxophone; another became an actor; a sister was a pianist and she and Leonard often played together; and another sister was an actress. He first handled a violin at age 4. At age 14 he won the 1942 Queensland Eisteddfod Championship in violin playing. He was offered a scholarship to Trinity College at the London School of Music, but World War II prevented him accepting it. Roy Dommett
Roy Leonard Dommett (25 June 1933 – 2 November 2015) was a British engineer and rocket scientist, and the United Kingdom's Chief Missile Scientist, who for many years led the United Kingdom's research and development of both ballistic missiles and space rockets for the delivery of satellites into orbit. In retirement he lived in Hampshire. Private life and family Roy Leonard Dommett, a descendant of an old East Devon family, was born on 25 June 1933, in Itchen, Southampton. His parents were Leonard Frank Dommett (1907-1996), a painter and decorator, and Rose Eveline Diaper, a cook and housekeeper. He was educated at Itchen Grammar School and Bristol University, gaining a first in aeronautical engineering in 1954.
