Dominyka Obelenyte
Dominyka Obelenyte (born 30 July 1995) is a Lithuanian born, grappler and Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt competitor. Obelenyte is a multiple Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion in coloured belt and a four times black belt world champion in both her weight class and in the open division accomplished by the age of 20. Career Dominyka Obelenyte was born on 30 July 1995 in Kaunas, Lithuania. When Obelenyte was 6 her family moved to the United States. Obelenyte started training Jiu-Jitsu at 9 years old in a Gracie Humaitá Affiliate in New Jersey after being bullied in elementary school. After receiving her orange belt she trained under legendary jiu-jitsu pioneer and world champion Emily Kwok in Maryland who then took her to the ''Marcelo Garcia Academy'' in New York. Emily Kwok
Emily Kwok (born 5 October 1980) is a Canadian submission grappler and 3rd degree black belt Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) instructor. A former mixed martial arts (MMA) competitor with a perfect record, Kwok is the first Canadian woman to receive a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and the first to become World Champion. As one of the first women to rise to prominence, Kwok is widely regarded as an early pioneer of the BJJ scene in North America. Career Emily R. Rolles Gracie (born July 14, 1978) is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, and professional wrestler. As the son of Rolls Gracie, he is a third generation martial arts member of the Gracie family, and a 5th degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. European Championship (Brazilian Jiu-jitsu)
The European Championship or European Open (officially called the European IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship) is the most prestigious and largest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament held in Europe by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF). The tournament is an open championship accepting competitors from all countries. The IBJJF gives tournaments weighting which helps calculate the number of points an athlete can win via their participation. For the 2017/2018 IBJJF calendar the European Championship has a weighting of 4 alongside the Pan-American Championship (jiu-jitsu) making it second in importance only to the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship which has a weighting of 7.
