Dominique Leone
Dominique Leone is an American musician and writer based in New York City. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on December 29, 1973, and grew up in the Dallas, Texas area. Leone began writing music reviews for Pitchfork Media in 2001, and was a regular contributor until 2007. He has also written for Paste Magazine, All-Music Guide and Trouser Press. His first release as a musician was the ''Dominique Leone EP'' on Hans-Peter Lindstrøm's Feedelity label in 2007. In 2008, Lindstrøm and Smalltown Supersound's Joakim Haughland released Leone's first full-length CD on their Strømland label, with art by Kim Hiorthøy. American experimental music label Important Records released his second CD ''Abstract Expression'' in October 2009. He recorded and staged a version of Igor Stravinsky's ''Les Noces'' in 2011, and released the digital album ''San Francisco'' in 2015. Piano
The piano is a stringed keyboard instrument in which the strings are struck by wooden hammers that are coated with a softer material (modern hammers are covered with dense wool felt; some early pianos used leather). Smalltown Supersound
Smalltown Supersound is an independent record label, founded in Flekkefjord in 1993 and now based in Oslo, Norway. It is dedicated to new forms of jazz, rock and electronic music. Their catalog features albums by Kelly Lee Owens, Deathprod, Neneh Cherry, Annie, Jaga Jazzist, 120 Days, Mental Overdrive, Bjørn Torske, Mats Gustafsson and Sonic Youth, amongst others. History Smalltown Supersound was founded in 1993 by Joakim Haugland in the small town of Flekkefjord in southern Norway. Kevin Blechdom
Kevin Blechdom (born Kristin Grace Erickson; 1978 in Florida) is an American experimental electronic musician and performance artist. She is based in Santa Cruz, California. Early life and education Kristin Grace Erickson was born in 1978 in Florida and raised in Stuart, Florida. She studied piano and classical music at Florida State University however she was unhappy with the nature of her studies and transferred to Mills College in 1997 to study experimental music. She has a BA degree and MFA degree in electronic music from Mills College. While she attended Mills College in Oakland, California, she co-founded Blectum from Blechdom with Blevin Blectum (born Bevin Kelley), an experimental electronic group. Ben Jacobs (born 7 June 1974), more commonly known by the stage name Max Tundra, is an English multi-instrumental musician, singer and music producer. His work is noted for its maximalist approach, which is predominantly electronic music but incorporates non-electronic styles and instruments. Jacobs' production style has been noted as an influence on the hyperpop style which became prevalent in the 2010s onwards. Song structure is the arrangement of a song, and is a part of the songwriting process. It is typically sectional, which uses repeating forms in songs. Common forms include bar form, 32-bar form, verse–chorus form, ternary form, strophic form, and the 12-bar blues. Boredoms () (later known as V∞redoms) is a rock band from Osaka, Japan formed in 1986.
