Dominic Zhai
Dominic Zhai (; born February 12, 1990) is an American actor. He recently starred as the role of Bob in the Chinese blockbuster co-production Lost in the Pacific. He currently resides in Beijing, China. Early life Dominic was born in Madison, Wisconsin. He attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison and studied Theater, Biology, and Chinese. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa at the top of his class, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. Dominic also studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art as well as Upright Citizen's Brigade. Career In Los Angeles, Dominic studied under acting coach, Aaron Speiser, whom eventually referred him to work as an acting coach and translator for Tang Wei in director Michael Mann's Blackhat. Madison is the county seat of Dane County and the capital city of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival (LAAPFF) – formerly known as VC FilmFest – is an annual film festival presented by Visual Communications (VC). It was established in 1983 by Linda Mabalot as a vehicle to promote Asian Pacific American and Asian international cinema. The festival fulfills a unique mission in illuminating the visions and voices of Asian Pacific peoples and heritage. CAAMFest, known prior to 2013 as the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival (SFIAAFF), is presented every March in the San Francisco Bay Area in the United States as the nation’s largest showcase for new Asian American and Asian films. Zhang Yuqi (; born 8 August 1987), also known as Kitty Zhang, is a Chinese actress best known for portraying Mrs. Yuen in the 2008 film '' CJ7'' — which brought her media attention and kick-started her acting career, and Ruo Lan in the 2016 film '' The Mermaid''.
