Dominic Scriven
Dominic Scriven is the founder and current chairman of Dragon Capital, the largest private investor in Vietnam. Career Scriven graduated with a combined honours degree in sociology and law from the University of Exeter in England. During his early career he worked in finance positions in the City of London with Vickers, da Costa and in Hong Kong with Sun Hung Kai Properties. In the early 1990s he visited Vietnam and noticed the economic opportunities there. He then spent 2 years studying at Hanoi General University learning Vietnamese. He was then asked by Peregrine Investments Holdings founder Philip Tose to help set up its Vietnam offices. In 1994 he co-founded Dragon Capital. In 2006 he was awarded the Order of the British Empire and in 2014, he was awarded the Labor Order award, third class, by the Vietnamese president Trương Tấn Sang. Trương Tấn Sang
Trương Tấn Sang (born 21 January 1949) is a Vietnamese politician, who served as the seventh President of Vietnam from 2011 to 2016. He was one of Vietnam's top leaders, alongside prime minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng and Party general secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng. In July 2011, Trương Tấn Sang was elected state president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam by the National Assembly of Vietnam and nominated by his predecessor Nguyễn Minh Triết who retired from office. Trương Tấn Sang was also ranked second after General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyễn Phú Trọng on the party's Central Secretariat, a body which directs policy making. Socialist realism is a style of idealized realistic art that was developed in the Soviet Union and was the official style in that country between 1932 and 1988, as well as in other socialist countries after World War II. Pensions in Vietnam are provided through a state pension scheme called social insurance, and private life insurance-type schemes. The pension system of Vietnam was ranked 57th out of 70 economies according to a 2020 Allianz report. As of 2020, 11.4% of Vietnamese have reached retirement age, but this number is expected to triple by 2050. Retirement age The current retirement age is 60 years for men and 55 for women.
