Dominic Oppong
Dominic Oppong (born January 21, 1986) is a Ghanaian-born Canadian former soccer player. Career College and Amateur Oppong grew up in Scarborough, Ontario, attended St John Henry Newman CHS (Cardinal Newman CHS at the time), and played two years of college soccer at the University of Cincinnati, before transferring to the University at Buffalo prior to his junior year. He was an All-MAC Second Team selection in 2008. During his college years Oppong also played for the Toronto Lynx in the USL Premier Development League. He made his Lynx debut on June 15, 2007, in a 4–0 defeat to the Michigan Bucks, and in 2008 helped the Lynx reach the playoffs for the first time since the 2000 season. Professional After leaving college, Oppong signed with Buffalo City of the National Premier Soccer League in 2009. He appeared in 19 matches and recorded one goal and added six assists for the team. Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League
The Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League or CMISL was a professional indoor soccer league that began full league play in January 2008. The league's president was Mel Kowalchuk. As the league has become affiliated with the Professional Arena Soccer League in the United States, the Edmonton Drillers and Saskatoon Accelerators played four soccer games and the Calgary United FC played eight games against the PASL teams in 2009. Edmonton and Saskatoon played two home games and two road games and Calgary played four home games and four road games against PASL teams. 2009 Canadian Soccer League Season
The 2009 Canadian Soccer League season was the 12th since its establishment where a total of 17 teams from Ontario and Quebec took part in the league. The season began on May 15, 2008, and ended on October 24 where for the second straight season the Serbian White Eagles faced Trois-Rivières Attak at the CSL Championship. The Attak denied Serbia their championship title by defeating them 3-2 in a penalty shootout. The victory marked the organizations first championship title, and the return of the championship to Quebec since the 1978 season when Montreal Castors competed in the National Soccer League. Vladimir Klinovsky
Volodymyr Klynovskyi (born 22 March 1969) is a Ukrainian football coach who currently serves as the Club Head Coach for Toronto Fusion FC. Managerial career On April 17, 2008 Klynovskyi was appointed by North York Astros head coach Rafael Carbajal to serve as his assistant coach for the 2008 season. In his first season, he helped the Astros set an all-time record for most points and wins in a season.
