Dominic Jephcott
Dominic Jephcott (born 1957) is a RADA-trained English actor and writer. He is known for his work in ''The Beiderbecke Affair'', ''The Beiderbecke Connection'', ''Midsomer Murders'', and in ''Holby City'' and ''Casualty'', as the adulterous Doctor Alistair Taylor. Early life and education Jephcott was born on 28 July 1957 in Coventry, Warwickshire. Jephcott worked professionally as a child actor. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1975. He became a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1978 and later worked extensively in television. Royal Academy Of Dramatic Art
The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA; ) is a drama school in London, England, that provides vocational conservatoire training for theatre, film, television, and radio. It is based in the Bloomsbury area of Central London, close to the Senate House complex of the University of London and is a founding member of the Federation of Drama Schools. It is one of the oldest drama schools in the United Kingdom, founded in 1904 by Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree. It moved to buildings on Gower Street in 1905. It was granted a Royal Charter in 1920 and a new theatre was built on Malet Street, behind the Gower Street buildings that was opened by Edward, Prince of Wales, in 1921. It received its first government subsidy in 1924. RADA currently has five theatres and a cinema. The school’s Principal Industry Partner is Warner Bros. Entertainment. The ''BBC Television Shakespeare'' is a series of British television adaptations of Shakespeare's plays, the plays of William Shakespeare, created by Cedric Messina and broadcast by BBC Television. Transmitted in the UK from 3 December 1978 to 27 April 1985, it spanned seven series and thirty-seven episodes. Development began in 1975 when Messina saw that the grounds of Glamis Castle would make a perfect location for an adaptation of Shakespeare's ''As You Like It'' for the ''Play of the Month'' series. Austin Film Festival (AFF), founded in 1994, is an organization in Austin, Texas, that focuses on writers’ creative contributions to film. Initially, AFF was called the Austin Heart of Film Screenwriters Conference and functioned to launch the careers of screenwriters, who historically have been underrepresented within the film industry. AFF is known for its annual October Austin Film Festival & Conference. The Conference was the first event of its kind, bringing professional and amateur screenwriters together to celebrate the role of screenplays in filmmaking and host conversations focusing on craft and on particular films and television series. Kelleigh Greenberg-Jephcott is an American author. ''Swan Song'', her first novel, was longlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction 2019, won the McKitterick Prize, won The Sunday Times paperbacks of the year 2019 and was shortlisted for the Goldsboro Books Glass Bell Award. Early life and education Kelleigh Greenberg-Jephcott was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and later lived in Los Angeles and London. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Drama (Directing) from Carnegie Mellon University and studied screenwriting at the University of Southern California. Christopher Marlowe (1564–1593), English playwright and poet, has appeared in works of fiction since the nineteenth century. He was a contemporary of William Shakespeare, and has been suggested as an alternative author of Shakespeare's works, an idea not accepted in mainstream scholarship. ''The Opium War'' (鸦片战争) is a 1997 Chinese historical epic film directed by Xie Jin.
