Domingo F. Panganiban
Domingo Flores Panganiban, also known as Ding Panganiban, (born August 9, 1939) is a Filipino government official and former basketball consultant, team manager and coach. Early life and education Panganiban was born on August 9, 1939, in Tanauan, Batangas. He graduated Bachelor of Science in agriculture from the University of the Philippines Los Baños in 1961. He also finished his master's degree in public administration in University of the Philippines Manila in 1970. Government career He worked as plant pest control worker, plant pest control officer and later as farm supervisor in Bureau of Plant Industry. He also headed the said bureau from 1975 to 1986. From 1973 to 1986, Panganiban became the executive director of National Food and Agriculture Council (now National Nutrition Council). Vincent "Chot" P. Reyes (born August 1, 1963) is a Filipino basketball head coach for the TNT Tropang Giga for the Philippine Basketball Association. Ely Capacio
Eliezer "Ely" O. Capacio (March 14, 1955 – February 23, 2014) was a Filipino basketball player, coach and executive. Born in Palo, Leyte, Philippines, he played a total of eight seasons as a forward-center for the Tanduay Rhum Makers from 1979 to 1986, averaging 5.9 points and 5.5 rebounds in a total of 324 games. The team won two championships during the 1986 PBA season. His younger brother, Glenn Capacio also played in the PBA. Amateur career The 6-4 center-forward was a veteran of the 1975 and 1977 Asian Basketball Confederation (ABC) championships and the 1977 SEA games. Masagana 99
Masagana 99 was an agricultural program of then Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos to increase rice production among Filipino farmers. The program, launched in 1973 at a time the country was experiencing a rice supply shortage, led the Philippines to attain self-sufficiency in 1975–1976, and export rice to its neighboring Asian countries in 1977–1978. By 1980, however, problems with the credit scheme rendered the loans inaccessible to rich landowners while leaving poor farmers in debt. The program was also noted to have become a vehicle of political patronage. By 1984, the Marcos administration shifted its focus away from Masagana 99 and towards different programs.
