Domingo González Mateos, better known as Domingo Dominguín (4 August 1895 – 21 August 1958), was a Spanish people, Spanish bullfighter and progenitor of a dynasty of bullfighters. Career He was born in Quismondo in the province of Toledo into a peasant family. He left agriculture to take part in rural bullfights () until he took his ''alternativa (bullfighting), alternativa'' on 26 September 1917 in Madrid with Joselito (José Gómez Ortega) for sponsor, facing a bull from the Contreras line.Paul Casanova and Pierre Dupuy, ''Toreros pour l'histoire''. Antonio Ordóñez
Antonio Ordóñez Araujo (16 February 1932 – 19 December 1998) was a Spanish bullfighter. Early life Antonio Jiménez Ordóñez Araujo was born in Ronda, Spain, on 16 February 1932. His father was Cayetano Ordóñez, called ''Niño de la Palma'', the prototype for the character of Pedro Romero, the ''matador'' in Ernest Hemingway’s novel ''The Sun Also Rises''.''Britannica''Hemingway (1985) Career He was one of the top bullfighters of his time. As a matador, Ordóñez faced over 3,000 bulls. He retired in 1968, having fought over 60 bullfights in that year alone, but came back until finally retiring in 1988. Francisco Rivera Pérez, known as Paquirri (March 5, 1948 – September 26, 1984), was a Spanish bullfighter. Death Paquirri was gored by a bull named "Avispado" (Spanish for street-smart, or wasp-like) during a bullfight in Pozoblanco ( Córdoba), Giles Tremlett (21 August 2007)No death in the afternoon: state TV axes bullfights ''The Guardian'' and died while he was being transported to Córdoba Hospital. Luis Miguel González Bosé (born 3 April 1956), usually known as Miguel Bosé, is a Spanish pop new wave singer and actor. Early life Bosé was born in San Fernando Hospital in Panama City, Panama, the son of Italian actress Lucia Bosè (1931–2020) and Spanish bullfighter Luis Miguel Dominguín. Bosé grew up surrounded by art and culture: Pablo Picasso and Ernest Hemingway were close friends of the family. The film director Luchino Visconti was his godfather while Pablo Picasso was the godfather to his sister Paola Dominguín. José Gómez Ortega
José Gómez Ortega (8 May 1895 – 16 May 1920), commonly known as Joselito (), was a Spanish matador in the early twentieth century. Younger brother of matador de toros Rafael Gómez Ortega ("El Gallo"), Joselito was considered a child prodigy and was the youngest bullfighter to receive the title of ''matador de toros'', at the age of 17, with his brother as "padrino". Joselito followed in arch-rival Juan Belmonte's footsteps and the two ushered in bullfighting's "Golden Age" during the second decade of the 20th century. Joselito and Belmonte are widely considered to be among the most famous bullfighters of all time, and their professional rivalry did not prevent their developing a close personal friendship.
