Dominator (ride)
Dominator is a thrill ride located at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown, Pennsylvania. It was designed by S&S Worldwide and opened on May 8, 1999. The ride The Dominator is a 200-foot tall, three-tower structure. One of the towers features a Space Shot ride, where 12 riders are blasted upwards at speeds of up to 50 mph, to a height of 160 feet. The second tower is a Turbo Drop ride, where 12 riders are lifted up 175 feet then released downwards at speeds of up to 40 mph. Both rides use compressed air to power the attraction. Dominator originally planned to have a third tower as a Combo Tower, with both the Drop and Shot experiences in one. However, the original plan was cancelled because of technical limitations and the third tower has been since left as a support tower. Turbo Drop
Turbo Drop is a model of tower-based amusement ride manufactured by S&S - Sansei Technologies, similar to the company's Space Shot. Design and operation The ride is a vertical drop tower. It uses compressed air to slowly lift a 12-16 seat car to the top of the tower, at an approximate and average speed of . The car is held for multiple seconds, before it is launched downwards with a force of 1.5G, dropping almost to the ground. The compressed air 'bounces' the car back to halfway, before it is lowered to the loading dock. As the tower is four-sided, up to sixteen passengers can ride simultaneously. Space Shot is a type of amusement ride manufactured by S&S - Sansei Technologies. The ride is a Drop tower (ride), drop tower type attraction that uses compressed air to rapidly propel riders up the tower then gently lower them with a series of air-cushioned bounces back to the loading platform. Fast Lane (Cedar Fair)
Fast Lane is an optional, pay-per-person line queue system offered on select rides at Cedar Fair amusement parks. The system provides shorter lines, and guests who want access must pay a fee in addition to general park admission. They are given a wristband for identification, and an unspecified, limited number are sold each day to control wait times. First piloted in 2011 at Kings Island, the system was rolled out to the rest of the Cedar Fair chain in 2012. An upgrade called Fast Lane Plus featuring additional rides is available at some parks.
