Sparreneset
Sparreneset is a headland in Gustav V Land at Nordaustlandet, Svalbard. It is located south of the mouth of Murchisonfjorden, about five nautical miles north of Dolomittøyane and extends about one nautical mile into Hinlopen Strait. Hinlopen Strait
The Hinlopen Strait ( no, Hinlopenstretet) is the strait between Spitsbergen and Nordaustlandet in Svalbard, Norway. It is long and wide. The strait is difficult to pass because of pack ice. Svalbard ( , ), also known as Spitsbergen, or Spitzbergen, is a Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean. North of mainland Europe, it is about midway between the northern coast of Norway and the North Pole. The islands of the group range from 74° to 81° north latitude, and from 10° to 35° east longitude. The largest island is Spitsbergen, followed by Nordaustlandet and .
