Dollarman
Dollarman is a Caribbean singer, songwriter, producer and musician born in Grenada. Since moving to Brooklyn, New York, he continues to present hits with a Caribbean influence and reggae. Career In the early 1990s, he recorded his first two tracks, "Long Time Lover" and "Driver" on the Rockers Forever record label. He also performed live at clubs and bars in New York and became well recognized on the Underground Brooklyn Reggae music scene for over 10 years. In 2003, Dollarman was featured on the "Money (Pink Floyd song), Money" track of Easy Star Record's Reggae/Dub tribute version of Pink Floyd's album ''The Dark Side of the Moon'' titled ''Dub Side of the Moon''. Due to the album's success, Dollarman started appearing in US and European venues. His big claim to fame came when Dollarman was featured as a Dancehall artist on "Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now)" released by Bob Sinclar and Cutee B featuring Dollarman, Big Ali and Makedah. Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now)
"Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now)" is a song by French music producer and DJ Bob Sinclar, co-produced by regular partner Cutee B and featuring Dollarman, Big Ali, and Makedah on vocals. The song uses recreated parts of the 1990 hit "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" by C+C Music Factory and was released as the third major single off the album ''Western Dream'', on 21 August 2006. It became Sinclar's most popular single on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number three. The song also reached number one in Belgium (Flanders and Wallonia) and number six on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart. Music video The music video features David Beaudoin, the same boy from the " Love Generation" and " World, Hold On" videos, as well as two young girls. Ali Fitzgerald Moore (born February 25, 1978), better known by his stage name Big Ali and formerly Breakingz and Grimer, is an American singer, rapper, songwriter and DJ born in New York. He has been based in Paris, France, since 2001. He is signed to Up Music, a Warner Music label. Career Big Ali released his debut album ''Louder'' in May 2009 on the record label. Larry McDonald is a Jamaican percussionist. He was born in Port Maria, Jamaica in 1937. McDonald played congas with Carlos Malcolm's band, Toots and the Maytals and the Count Ossie Band. He plays a wide variety of traditional percussion instruments. ''Dub Side of the Moon'' is a dub reggae tribute to the 1973 Pink Floyd album, ''The Dark Side of the Moon'', co-produced by Easy Star All-Stars founders Michael G (Michael Goldwasser) and Ticklah (Victor Axelrod). Easy Star All Stars released ''Dub Side of the Moon: Special Anniversary Edition'', on CD and vinyl, on September 16, 2014. Release details Included with the liner notes are instructions on how to synchronize the album with the 1939 film '' The Wizard of Oz'' and produce a variation of the perceived "Dark Side of the Rainbow" effect. The album has sold over 85,000 copies thus far and Easy Star All-Stars have been regularly touring in support of the album. "Everybody's Free (To Feel Good)" is a song by Zambian-born Zimbabwean singer Rozalla, released in August 1991 as the second single from her second album, '' Everybody's Free'' (1992). It had been a staple in the clubs in Ibiza and Mallorca in the summer of 1991, and hordes of recovering ravers were delighted to find "that tune about being free to feel good and stuff" was available to buy back home. Rozalla Miller (born 18 March 1964), better known as simply Rozalla, is a Zimbabwean electronic music performer who was born in what was then Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia). At the age of 18, she moved with her parents to her father's country of origin, Zimbabwe.
