Dohzi-T
is a Japanese rapper, singer and songwriter who has been active since 1989. Biography Dohzi-T belonged to hip hop band "Zingi", formed in 1990. He debuted as a solo singer with the single "Shōnen A" (lit. "Boy A") on October 10, 2001. He associated with popular singers such as Shota Shimizu, Miliyah Kato and Hiromi Go. Since he has long career in Japan, he is called "Brother Dohzi" by other musicians. He is also known for his ability to find new singers. Dohzi-T and DJ Bass were featured in Ayumi Hamasaki's song " Nothing from Nothing", released by Nippon Columbia on September 21, 1995. However, Hamasaki soon left from the record label and became a pop singer under Avex Trax. In January 2008, he collaborated with Thelma Aoyama in a song "This Day" on her CD single "Soba ni Iru ne". In June 2008, he released his single " Mō Ichi do...", featuring Beni. It sold over two million ringtone downloads. Bitter & Sweet (Beni Arashiro Album)
''Bitter & Sweet'' is the first album released by Beni Arashiro under her new label Universal Music Japan and her new stage name, Beni on September 2, 2009. The CD+DVD version is a limited edition with all her single PVs and two new PVs named "The Boy Is Mine", which features Tynisha Keli, and "Superstar" which are both cover songs. The vocals for the DJ Hasebe Remix of "Kiss Kiss Kiss" were recorded from one of her live performances. The song "Dakishimete", featuring Dohzi-T, was released on 19 August as an online download on Recochoku's Chaku Uta. The song debuted on the #5 place on the Chaku-Uta charts and the #2 place on the Recochoku chart. The album debuted at the #6 place on the Oricon chart. The day after it rose to the #5 place. At the end of the first week, the album ended up on the #5 spot on the weekly chart selling about 30,000 copies making it Beni's highest ranked and best selling album to date. Shota Shimizu
is a Japanese singer-songwriter and musician from Yao, Osaka, Japan, who debuted in 2008. On June 1, 2008, Shimizu performed at Central Park in New York City, USA, during the annual Japan Day Festival. Shota Shimizu went to a local Christian school in Osaka where he learned how to sing gospel music. He became captivated with soul music, which is how his music career started. He was inspired by Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, and Ray Charles. Before his debut, in November 2007, Shimizu sang in English on amateur night at the Apollo Theater in New York City. He was called a "one in a million soul singer" by a local newspaper in New York. The second time he performed at the Apollo Theater was on November 19, 2008. He sang the song "Sukiyaki" by Kyu Sakamoto in Japanese, where he was given a standing ovation from an audience of 1,500 people. The CD+DVD (named 12 Love Stories -Sweet Love Box-) was a limited edition containing 2 promotional videos. , is a Japanese singer, part of Sony Music Entertainment Japan. His real name is . In the 1970s, he was called the with Goro Noguchi and Hideki Saijo. He belonged to Johnny & Associates, but later left the agency. He also effectively became the Japanese answer to Ricky Martin after his 1999 Japanese version of "Livin' la Vida Loca," which was called "Goldfinger '99". is Thelma Aoyama's second official single, released on January 23, 2008, featuring SoulJa. It is an answer song to her previous collaboration with SoulJa, " Koko ni Iru yo." B-side "My dear friend" was used as the ending theme to anime Shion no Ō, and the opening theme to television show Ryuuha-R. The single reached the number 1 position on Japan's Oricon charts in its second week and sold over 450,000 compact discs.
