Helge Dohrmann
Helge Dohrmann (1939–1989) was a Danish politician who was one of the leading figures of the Progress Party. He was a long-term member of the Danish Parliament where he represented the party from 1973 to his death in 1989. Biography Dohrmann was born in Stepping on 22 February 1939. He worked as a contractor. He was elected to the parliament for the Progress Party from Southern Jutland region in December 1973 and served as a deputy until his death. In 1983 Dohrmann played a significant role in the continuation of the Danish cabinet led by Poul Schlüter. Schlüter and Dohrmann met at a Copenhagen restaurant named Rio Bravo where they reached an agreement about an upcoming law on children which has been known as the Rio Bravo settlement in the Danish political history. During this period Dohrmann was the leader of the parliamentary group of Progress Party. George Dohrmann (born February 14, 1973), is an editor and writer for ''The Athletic'', the 2000 Pulitzer Prize winner for beat reporting, and author of '' Play Their Hearts Out'', which received the 2011 PEN/ESPN Award for Literary Sports Writing. Background and career In college, he wrote for The Observer. In 2000, while working at the St. Paul ''Pioneer Press'', Dohrmann won a Pulitzer Prize for a series of stories that uncovered widespread academic fraud in the University of Minnesota men's basketball program. The Citation says, A few months after winning the prize he joined ''Sports Illustrated'' where he worked as a senior writer dealing with investigative projects into college basketball, college football and soccer. Dohrmann published his first book, ''Play Their Hearts Out: A Coach, His Star Recruit, and the Youth Basketball Machine'', on October 5, 2010, through Ballantine Books. Elsie Dohrmann
Elsie Low (later Dohrmann; 25 July 1875 – 14 February 1909), was a New Zealand botanist, teacher and temperance campaigner. Early life and education Low was born in Horndon on the Hill, Essex, England on 25 July 1875. She was the youngest of five children and her parents were Benjamin Low and Sabine Susanna née Harris. Her family owned a general store in Horndon-on-the-Hill until they emigrated to New Zealand in 1876. Benjamin Low became the first schoolmaster in Willowby, near Ashburton. Both Benjamin and Sabine Low enrolled for the basic teaching certificate, and both qualified in 1881, and taught at the Willowby School over the next 21 years. Angela Dohrmann (born August 17, 1965) is an American actress and television personality. She grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a VJ for MuchMusic, the Canadian music video channel, in the early 1990s. She also pursued a career in acting, with a supporting role in the CBC Television sitcom '' Material World''.
