Dog Fashion Disco is an American heavy metal band from Rockville, Maryland, that was originally active from 1995 to 2007 before disbanding. The band officially reunited on October 10, 2013. History Combining many different music styles (1960s psychedelic, jazz, piano recital, heavy metal, circus music and vocals, among others) Dog Fashion Disco is primarily considered an avant-garde metal and alternative metal band. The band's lyrical content is often highly esoteric and satirical, with constant tongue-in-cheek references to the occult, drug use, and mutilation. Their sound has often been compared to the Northern California genre-defying act, Mr. Bungle. Serj Tankian (born August 21, 1967) is an Armenian-American singer, musician, songwriter, political activist and entrepreneur. He is best known as the lead vocalist, primary lyricist, keyboardist, and occasional rhythm guitarist of heavy metal band System of a Down, which was formed in 1994. Anarchists of Good Taste is the fourth studio album and major label debut by Dog Fashion Disco. The album is often mistakenly referred to as the band's debut album and "Mushroom Cult", a collaboration with System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian, has been often misattributed to SOAD. The title for the album comes from a line in the song "Cartoon Autopsy". ''Farmclub.com'' is an American TV show, which aired on USA Network. It was broadcast from January 31, 2000 to June 15, 2001. The show's content featured "it" musical artists of the moment and promoted unsigned bands through national exposure and website interaction, with such featured moments as the return of N.W.A., in which Snoop Dogg substituted for the late Eazy-E. ''Farmclub.com'' signed artists to real record deals and put their albums out through partnerships with Interscope, Def Jam, Universal, and other labels. ''The Embryo's In Bloom'' is Dog Fashion Disco's third album, originally released on OuterLoop Records in 1998, then reissued in 2000 before going out of print in 2001. The studio quality of this album is noticeably better than the band's preceding albums, and they were subsequently pleased with the resulted sound. It was re-released by Rotten Records in 2006. Erotic Massage is the title of Dog Fashion Disco's debut album, released in 1997. Track listing The Hidden Track is track number 27 on the original CD. Tracks 13 - 26 are blank. Tracks 2, 5 and 12 have appeared on later Dog Fashion Disco albums, in slightly different forms. Track 9 was covered by The Alter Boys. All other tracks are unique to this album, and as such, relatively difficult to find due to their out of print nature.
