Connie Doepke
Connie M. Doepke (born 1946) is a Minnesota politician and former member of the Minnesota House of Representatives representing District 33B, which included the Lake Minnetonka area cities of Deephaven, Excelsior, Greenwood, Long Lake, Minnetonka Beach, Orono, Shorewood, Tonka Bay, Wayzata, Woodland, and western Minnetonka in Hennepin County, which is part of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. A Republican, she is also a direct marketing consultant, and a former vice president of fashion merchandising for Fingerhut. Doepke was first elected in 2008, succeeding first-term Rep. John Berns, who did not seek re-election. She was re-elected in 2010. Matthias Doepke
Matthias Doepke is a German economist, currently Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science and Gerald F. and Marjorie G. Fitzgerald Professor of Economic History at Northwestern University. His research focuses on economic growth, development, political economy and monetary economics. Education Doepke received his Vordiplom from the University of Hagen in 1993 and his Diplom at the Humboldt University of Berlin in 1995. He went on to further study at the University of Chicago and graduated with a Ph.D. in economics in 2000. Career The University of California, Los Angeles appointed him as an assistant professor in economics upon graduating from Chicago.
