Dodoni
Dodoni ( el, Δωδώνη) is a village and a municipality in the Ioannina regional unit, Epirus, Greece. The seat of the municipality is the village Agia Kyriaki (community Theriakisi). The modern village of Dodoni is located near the ancient city of same name and site of the ancient oracle of Dodona. ''Oedipus the King'' was shot here in 1967. Municipality The present municipality Dodoni was formed at the 2011 local government reform by the merger of the following 4 former municipalities, that became municipal units: * Agios Dimitrios *Dodoni *Lakka Souliou *Selloi The municipality Dodoni has an area of 657.499 km2, the municipal unit Dodoni has an area of 101.016 km2, and the community Dodoni has an area of 8.748 km2. Ioannina ( el, Περιφερειακή ενότητα Ιωαννίνων) is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the region of Epirus. Its capital is the city of Ioannina. Lakka Souliou ( el, Λάκκα Σουλίου is a former municipality in the Ioannina regional unit, Epirus, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Dodoni, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 158.578 km2. Its population was 2,405 according to the census of 2011. Lakka Souliou is a historical site in the wider area of Souli. History Ancient times Lakka Souliou has been inhabited since the Neolithic period, as it is testified by the fossils which were found in the region, like axes made of granite and flint, coppery and iron weapons, vessels of clay as well. There are traces of Pelasgic walls in many places of the region, like in Achladea, Bestia, Sistrouni, Alepochori and Paleochori Botsari. In addition to these, there are several acropoleis, ancient boxy tombs and coins of the ancient Epirotes found throughout Lakka Souliou. Agios Dimitrios, Ioannina
Agios Dimitrios (Greek: Άγιος Δημήτριος) is a former municipality in the Ioannina regional unit, Epirus, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Dodoni, of which it is a municipal unit. Population 4,566 (2011), its area is 231.473 km². The seat of the municipality was in Theriakisi. The largest village is Kato Mousiotitsa which has a school, gymnasium and lyceum. The municipal unit covers the northwestern part of the Xerovouni mountains. ''Oedipus the King'' is a 1968 British film adaptation of the Sophoclean tragedy ''Oedipus Rex'', directed and co-written by Philip Saville. It stars Christopher Plummer as the title character, Orson Welles as Tiresias, Lilli Palmer as Jocasta, Richard Johnson as Creon and Donald Sutherland as the leading member of the Chorus, though the latter's voice was dubbed by Valentine Dyall. Selloi, Ioannina
Selloi ( el, Σελλοί) is a former municipality in the Ioannina regional unit, Epirus, Greece. Since 2011, local government reform it is part of the municipality of Dodoni, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 166.432 km2. Dodona

Tomaros
Tomaros ( el, Τόμαρος, also Ολύτσικας - ''Olytsikas'' or ''Tomaros'') is a mountain in southwestern Ioannina regional unit, Greece. Rising to the south of the archaeological site of Dodona, it is part of the Pindus mountain range. Its maximum elevation is 1,974 m. The nearest mountains are the Xerovouni to the southeast and the Souli Mountains to the southwest. There are forests in the lower areas, the highest areas consist of dry grasslands. The nearest villages are Vargiades to the southeast, Lippa to the southwest and Dodoni to the north.
