Dodgy Holiday
''Dodgy Holiday'' is the first extended play released by British pop singer Mika. It was released digitally on 20 November 2006, prior to the release of ''Life in Cartoon Motion'', his debut album, which was later released in February 2007. The name of the EP was derived from the lyrics of the song "Billy Brown", which was included on the EP. A physical version of the EP was available for a limited time only and contained an exclusive 24-page booklet containing unseen photos and lyrics. Mika's first official headlining tour was named in honour of the EP. The EP was also made available via Target stores in the United States. Michael Holbrook Penniman Jr. (born 18 August 1983), known professionally as Mika ( , stylised as MIKA), is a singer-songwriter born in Beirut, Lebanon, and raised in Paris and London. After recording his first extended play, '' Dodgy Holiday'', Mika was named the number-one predicted breakthrough act of 2007 in an annual BBC poll of music critics, Sound of 2007. Acoustic music is music that solely or primarily uses instruments that produce sound through acoustic means, as opposed to electric or electronic means. ''Life in Cartoon Motion'' is the debut album released by British recording artist Mika. The album was produced by Greg Wells, mixed by Wells, with co-production on two songs by Jodi Marr and John Merchant. The album was released via Casablanca Records on 5 February 2007 in the United Kingdom, and on 27 March 2007 in the United States. ''Life in Cartoon Motion'' was the #9 top selling album in the world in 2007. The album's lead single, "Grace Kelly", stayed at number one on the UK Singles Chart for five consecutive weeks and became a worldwide number-one hit. "Relax, Take It Easy" is the debut single by British singer-songwriter Mika, from his debut album ''Life in Cartoon Motion''. In the UK, it failed to chart upon its original release, but after "Grace Kelly" topped the charts in January 2007, it managed to peak at number 67 on the UK Downloads Chart because of download sales. The song makes use of a melody line from the Cutting Crew hit single "(I Just) Died in Your Arms". In North America, it was released as the third single from the album. The song was released as Mika's sixth single in the UK in stores on 31 December 2007, and for digital download on 24 December 2007 as a double A-side with "Lollipop".
