documenta 12 was the twelfth edition of documenta, a quinquennial contemporary art exhibition. It was held between 16 June and 23 September 2007 in Kassel, Germany. The artistic director was Roger M. Buergel in collaboration with Ruth Noack. Documenta 12 magazines was one of the central projects of the documenta exhibition. Saâdane Afif
Saâdane Afif (born 1970 in Vendôme, Loir-et-Cher Département, France) is a French conceptual artist. Life and career Saâdane Afif graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Bourges and later received his 1998 postgraduate degree from the School of Fine Arts in Nantesat (École des Beaux Arts). In 2001, he was in residence at the "Villa Arson" International Art School of Nice (France); in 2002, he was in residence at the Villa Médicis in Glasgow (Scotland). In 2003, he moved to Berlin, where he currently lives and works. Afif's work has been exhibited at many venues, including the Museum Folkwang ( Essen, Germany) in 2004. Mária Bartuszová (1936–1996) was a Slovakian sculptor known for her abstract white plaster sculptures. Yael Bartana ( he, יעל ברתנא; born 1970) is an Israeli artist, filmmaker and photographer, whose past works have encompassed multiple mediums, including photography, film, video, sound, and installation. Many of her pieces feature political or feminist themes. David Aradeon
David Olatunde Aradeon (born 7 November 1933) is a Nigerian architect, urban planner and curator. Career David Aradeon was born in Lagos, and commenced his Architectural education in 1959 at Columbia University in New York. After his graduation in 1966, he worked for three different architectural firms in New York and then returned to Nigeria. In 1968, he was awarded a three-year Ford Fellowship to study the human settlements in western and North Africa. At the University of Lagos, he was a lecturer in the Department of Architecture, where he was appointed Professor in 1979. Aradeon founded the Sankore Institute for African Environment and Development in Lagos, which he still heads today.
