Doctor Homer's Brother
''Doctor Homer's Brother'' (Serbo-Croatian: ''Brat doktora Homera'', Serbian Cyrillic alphabet, Serbian Cyrillic: ''Брат доктора Хомера'') is a 1968 Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Yugoslav feature film written and directed by Žika Mitrović, Živorad "Žika" Mitrović. The film, which resembles some of Mitrović's earlier partisan films, was strongly influenced by Hollywood Western (genre), westerns, as well as the then-popular Yugoslav Black Wave, as evident in its depiction of corrupt government officials in postwar Yugoslavia. The film's title song is performed by Arsen Dedić. Plot The films takes place in 1945 in Kosovo, a few months after the end of the Second World War, the consequences of which are still evident in general poverty, typhus epidemics, but also the activities of the remnants of defeated Balli Kombëtar, Ballists who are hiding in the mountains. Žika Mitrović
Živorad "Žika" Mitrović ( sr-Cyrl, Жика Митровић; 3 September 1921 – 29 January 2005) was a Serbian and Yugoslav film director and screenwriter. He started his career as a comics artist. Mitrovic directed 20 feature films between 1955 and 1986. His 1974 film '' The Republic of Užice'' was entered into the 9th Moscow International Film Festival The 9th Moscow International Film Festival was held from 10 to 23 July 1975.
