Doctor Fate (Kent Nelson)
Dr. Kent Nelson is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character first appeared in '' More Fun Comics'' #55 (May 1940) during the Golden Age of Comic Books and is the first character to use the name Doctor Fate. While in an archaeological expedition with his father, Nelson accidentally awakens Nabu and kills his father in the process. Nabu takes pity on the boy and responds to the tragedy by training him to be an agent of the Lords of Order. Nelson eventually becomes a crime fighter and a chief defender of Earth from supernatural threats. A founding member of the All-Star Squadron and the Justice Society of America, Nelson would struggle with the revelation of Nabu's attempt to usurp control of his body with his spirit and his increasingly strained relationship with his wife. Alex Ross
Nelson Alexander Ross (born January 22, 1970) is an American comic book writer and artist known primarily for his painted interiors, covers, and design work. He first became known with the 1994 miniseries '' Marvels'', on which he collaborated with writer Kurt Busiek for Marvel Comics. He has since done a variety of projects for both Marvel and DC Comics, such as the 1996 miniseries ''Kingdom Come'', which Ross co-wrote. Since then he has done covers and character designs for Busiek's series '' Astro City'', and various projects for Dynamite Entertainment. The DC Extended Universe (DCEU) is an American media franchise and shared universe centered on a series of superhero films and television series produced by DC Studios and distributed by Warner Bros. Brent Stait
Brent Stait (born September 9, 1959) is a Canadian actor, best known for his roles as Rev Bem in the science fiction television series '' Andromeda'' and Louis Ferretti in ''Stargate SG-1''. Biography Stait was born in Snow Lake, Manitoba. Though it is commonly said that Stait left ''Andromeda'' due to an allergic reaction to the prosthetics his character required, a 2011 interview revealed his departure was motivated by "physical exhaustion" from wearing the full Rev Bem costume.
