Ágnes Dobó (born 5 September 1988) is a Hungarian model and beauty pageant titleholder who won the Hungarian national beauty contest A Királynő in 2010. She was supposed to represent Hungary in the Miss World 2010 contest in China China, officially the People's Republic of China (PRC), is a country in East Asia. István Dobó
Baron István Dobó de Ruszka (c. 1502 - Szerednye (today, Середнє (Szerednye / Serednie, Ukraine), mid-June 1572) was a Hungarian soldier, best known as the successful defender of Eger against the Ottomans in 1552. Dobó was a member of the Hungarian land-owning nobility, with holdings in northern Hungary. In the dynastic succession struggles after the Battle of Mohács in 1526, Dobó was consistently on the side of the Habsburg King Ferdinand I rather than that of John Zápolya. Life Dobó was the son of Domonkos (Dominic) Dobó, who married Zsófia (Sophie) Cékei in 1498. There were six children from the marriage: Ferenc, László, István, Domokos, Anna and Katalin. István Dobó married his wife Sára Sulyok on 17 October 1550. They had three children: Ferenc, Damján and Krisztina. Dobó became the commander of Eger Castle in 1549. Kata Dobó or Kata Dobo (born Katalin Kovács, Hungarian: Kovács Katalin, Dobó Kata, on 25 February 1974) is a Hungarian actress and filmmaker. Life Dobo was born in Győr, Hungary and moved to Los Angeles, USA in 1999 to her partner of the time, film producer Andrew G. Vajna. Dobó István Hungarian Elementary School is situated in Nagyszelmenc, which is a small village of eastern Slovakia. However, it is a Hungarian School, since the 97% of the population of the village is Hungarian. History It was in 1886, when the first parish school opened in Nagyszelmenc. It was very significant for the village since till that time the parents had to take their children into the school of Ruszka or Palágy which were faith-based schools. The first school was made of wood and it had only one classroom. In 1906, a two class roomed school was built. In 1945, the number of children decreased since the new state border cut down the village into 2 sides, and from that time one side, Kisszelmenc, became the part of Ukraine and the education was on Slovak language. But the parents did not want to take their children into the Slovak school which influenced the school standard badly. In 1950, the education became run in Hungarian again.
