Dobri Isak
Dobri Isak (Serbian Cyrillic: Добри Исак; trans. ''Kind Isaac'') was a Yugoslav post-punk/darkwave band formed in Niš in 1983. Dobri Isak existed for only several years, releasing only one studio album, '' Mi plačemo iza tamnih naočara'' (1984), before disbanding in 1986. During the following decades the band's only album enjoyed a cult status, and after it was reissued in 2009, it gained new attention from the audience and recognition from music critics in Serbia and other former Yugoslav republics. History 1983 - 1986 In late 1983 Predrag Cvetičanin (guitar, vocals), with Zoran Đorđević (guitar), Branko (bass guitar) and Boban (drums), formed the band Dobri Isak. Novembar (Serbian Cyrillic: Новембар; trans. ''November'') is a Serbian punk rock band from Niš. History Studeni Studeni, band formation (1986–1991) During the late 1980s, one of the most promising former Yugoslav bands from Zagreb, Studeni Studeni (trans. ''Cold November''), were formed in 1986. The band recorded only an EP, ''Čisto kao suza'' (''Bright as a Teardrop''), released in 1990, before disbanding in the early 1990s, due to the outbreak of the Yugoslav wars. Mizar ( mk, Мизар ) is a Macedonian rock band from Skopje. They achieved a status of a cult band, especially in Macedonia and across the former Yugoslavian countries. The group is notable for its first self-titled album, as it was the first popular music album in the former Yugoslavian countries in Macedonian. The album was a major success and it is listed among the top ten rock albums ever released in former Yugoslavian countries. Mizar was formed in 1981 in the then Socialist Republic of Macedonia. Because of the band's avant-garde sound and image, its Christian leanings and support for Macedonian self-determination, they were viewed with certain degree of suspicion by the former authorities. Oktobar 1864 ( sr-cyr, Октобар 1864; trans. ''October 1864'') was a Serbian and former Yugoslav rock band. Biography 1984 – 1992 Oktobar 1864 was formed in 1984 in Zemun by Goran Tomanović and have changed several line-ups before they won the Best demo Band Award at the MESAM festival in 1986. Goran Tomanović looked for first band members over the newspaper ads. The band had its first big performance in 1985 when they performed in Taš club in Belgrade, and that is when Tanja Jovićević, the band's lead singer, joined the group. Let 3 (Croatian for "Flight 3") is a modern rock band from Rijeka, Croatia formed in 1987. The frontmen are Damir "Mrle" Martinović and Zoran "Prlja" Prodanović.
