Dmitry Andreyevich Shomko (russian: Дмитрий Андреевич Шомко; born 19 March 1990) is a Kazakhstan, Kazakh association football, football player who plays for Kazakh club FC Aktobe, Aktobe and is part of the Kazakhstan national football team. Career Club Shomko began his career in 2006 with FC Batyr Ekibastuz. He has been playing for FC Irtysh, Irtysh since 2009. He also played also the 2011/2012 season on loan for Irtysh's League rival FC Astana, Astana. On 12 January 2021, FC Astana, Astana confirmed that Shomko had left the club following the expiration of his contract. On 13 January 2021, Shomko signed with Russian Premier League club FC Rotor Volgograd, Rotor Volgograd. On 2 July 2021, FC Aktobe, Aktobe announced the signing of Shomko. Ekibastuz ( kk, Екібастұз, translit=Ekıbastūz, , ەكئباستۇز; russian: Экибастуз) is a city in Pavlodar Region, northeastern Kazakhstan. The population was Ekibastuz is served by Ekibastuz Airport. History The history of Ekibastuz begins in the 19th century, when Kosym Pshembayev, a native Kazakh who was commissioned by Russian merchants to look for mineral resources in that region, alighted on a coal field southeast of Pavlodar. The commercial exploitation of the field started soon after. The field afterwards was sold to a British businessman, Leslie Urquhart. The village of Ekibastuz was established in 1899, named after the nearby lake of the same name, which means 2 heads of salt in Kazakh (''eki'' 'two' + ''bas'' 'head' + ''tuz'' 'salt'). The 2011 Kazakhstan Premier League was the 20th season of the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest football league competition in Kazakhstan.
