Djurgårdens IF Boxningsförening
Djurgårdens IF Boxningsförening is the section for boxing within the Swedish sports club Djurgårdens IF in Stockholm. Djurgårdens IF is one of Sweden's oldest boxing clubs. The section was formally founded in 1917, but members in the main club had been boxing many years before this. The club has won many Swedish championships in different weight classes. Badou Jack
Badou Johannes Gabriel Jack (born 31 October 1983) is a Swedish professional boxer. He is a former world champion in two weight classes, having held the WBC super-middleweight title from 2014 to 2017 and the WBA light-heavyweight title in 2017. As an amateur he represented The Gambia at the 2008 Olympics, reaching the first round of the middleweight bracket. Amateur career Jack began his amateur boxing career in 2001 at the age of 18. He held a record of 150 wins and 25 losses. He won Sweden's national championship five years in a row, 2004–2008, 4 times at middleweight and once at light heavyweight. In 2007, Jack was named the boxer of the year by the Swedish Boxing Federation. In his last national championship in 2008 he defeated fellow rising star Erik Skoglund in the finals. Naim Terbunja (born 28 September 1984 in Pristina, Yugoslavia – in present-day Kosovo) is a Swedish professional boxer of Kosovar-Albanian descent who qualified for the 2008 Olympics at middleweight. Klas Harry Wolff (2 July 1905 – 29 April 1987) was a Swedish boxer who won a silver medal in the featherweight division at the 1927 European Championships. The World Boxing Union (WBU) was a boxing sanctioning body. The original WBU was founded in January 1995 by IBF European representative, boxing journalist, actor and former holder of the title of Britain's heaviest man Jon W. Robinson.
