Raif Dizdarević
Raif Dizdarević (born 9 December 1926) is a Bosnian politician who served as Yugoslavia's first Bosniak president of the Presidency from 1988 until 1989. He participated in the armed resistance as a Yugoslav Partisan during World War II. Didzarević also served as President of the Presidency of SR Bosnia and Herzegovina and as Minister of Foreign Affairs. Early life Dizdarević was born into a Bosniak family in 1926, but became and remained an atheist after entering school. Political career After the war, as a member of the Communist Party Dizdarević was elevated into high political functions. From 1945 he was a member of the State Security Administration. Srđan Dizdarević
Srđan Dizdarević (29 September 1952 – 16 February 2016) was a Bosnian journalist, diplomat, and activist. Born into a prominent Bosniak political family of diplomats, Dizdarević graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Sarajevo in 1976 and entered politics. As a diplomat, he was the first secretary of the Embassy of Yugoslavia in Paris, and in 1991 he returned to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also worked as the assistant editor-in-chief of the newspaper ''Oslobođenje'' and was a member of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1995, becoming the committee's president in 2005, serving until 2014. Emir Dizdarević (born 2 April 1958), is a Bosnian chess Grandmaster (GM) (1988) who was representing Croatia from 2006 to 2008, two-times Bosnia and Herzegovina Chess Championship winner (2011, 2012) and a Chess Olympiad team silver medalist (1994). Nađa Dizdarević ( Bosnian, in Cyrillic: Нађа Диздаревић) is a Bosnian citizen. She is known for the efforts she made to draw the world's attention to the extrajudicial capture and detention of her husband, Hadj Boudella. Boudella was captured by American intelligence officials, and transported to detention in the US naval base at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. Zija Dizdarević (18 February 1916 – 1942) was a Bosnian prose writer. Biography He was born in Vitina, Ljubuški municipality, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria-Hungary to Bosniak parents Šefkija Dizdarević and Selima, from where he moved in 1920 to Fojnica. There he spent most of his youth and always came back regardless of all the other places he went to. After finishing primary school in Fojnica, he started grammar school in Sarajevo, and finished it in 1936. This is when his literary and political work started. In those ages he managed to publish few short stories, and to get arrested for participating in youth strikes. In 1937 he started studying pedagogy at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy. His literary works started to appear in many papers, but also his political engagement rose. Decathlon
The decathlon is a combined event in Athletics (sport), athletics consisting of ten track and field events. The word "decathlon" was formed, in analogy to the word "pentathlon", from Greek language, Greek δέκα (''déka'', meaning "ten") and ἄθλος (''áthlos'', or ἄθλον, ''áthlon'', meaning "contest" or “prize”).
