Dixie Speedway
Dixie Speedway is a 3/8 mile clay oval in Woodstock, Georgia, Woodstock, Georgia (U.S. state), Georgia. Located 30 miles north of downtown Atlanta, the track features over 5,000 permanent seats on a 150-acre property. Opened in 1968, the venue has been owned by Mickey and Martha Swims since 1976. Touring series that visit the speedway include American Flat Track and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, Late Model Dirt Series by Lucas Oil. The track also holds a season-opening doubleheader, the Schaeffer Oil, Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals, in cooperation with nearby Rome Speedway. Dixie Speedway is noted to be the first track where NASCAR Legend Bill Elliott, Bill Elliot started racing, and is also the site where he won his first race. Dixie Motor Speedway
Birch Run Speedway and Event Center, until 2017 known as Dixie Motor Speedway, is a 4/10 (.400) mile, progressively banked, D-shaped oval Short track motor racing, short track, with an adjoining 1/3 (.333) mile as well as a Figure 8 course located near Birch Run, Michigan. The speedway changed its name from Dixie Speedway to Birch Run Speedway in 2017. Track history Birch Run Speedway opened in 1948 as a 1/3 mile dirt oval. The track spent its opening decade plus as a dirt track before being paved in the early-1960s. Chase Elliott
William Clyde "Chase" Elliott II (born November 28, 1995) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Hendrick Motorsports. He won the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series championship, becoming the first rookie to win a national series championship in NASCAR and the youngest champion in that series. Bobby Allison
Robert Arthur Allison (born December 3, 1937) is a former American professional stock car racing driver and owner. Allison was the founder of the Alabama Gang, a group of drivers based in Hueytown, Alabama, where there were abundant short tracks with high purses. Allison raced competitively in the NASCAR Cup Series from 1961 to 1988, while regularly competing in short track events throughout his career. He also raced in IndyCar, Trans-Am, and Can-Am. David Leonard Gilliland (born April 1, 1976) is an American professional stock car racing driver and team owner. Since 2017, he has operated David Gilliland Racing, a team that races in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, ARCA Menards Series, and CARS Tour.
