Dixie Narco EP
''Dixie-Narco'' is an extended play (EP) by Scottish rock band Primal Scream, released on 27 January 1992 through Creation Records. Its lead track is "Movin' on Up", originally released on the ''Screamadelica'' album. This was the only official Primal Scream release to contain the song "Screamadelica" (which was recorded during sessions for the ''Screamadelica'' albumTom Pinnock (2019), 'The Making Of... Dixie-Narco EP by Primal Scream', ''Uncut'', issue 265, June 2019, p. 88.) until the song appeared on the 20th anniversary edition of the ''Screamadelica'' album. The remaining two tracks were recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis during November 1991. 'Carry Me Home' was originally written by Dennis Wilson for The Beach Boys' 1973 album ''Holland'', although it was not included on that album. Primal Scream
Primal Scream are a Scottish rock band originally formed in 1982 in Glasgow by Bobby Gillespie (vocals) and Jim Beattie. The band's current lineup consists of Gillespie, Andrew Innes (guitar), Simone Butler (bass), and Darrin Mooney (drums). Barrie Cadogan has toured and recorded with the band since 2006 as a replacement after the departure of guitarist Robert "Throb" Young. Primal Scream had been performing live from 1982 to 1984, but their career did not take off until Gillespie left his position as drummer of The Jesus and Mary Chain. Gregg Jakobson
Gregg Jakobson (born August 2, 1939) is an American songwriter who was a friend and songwriting partner of Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys, and a prosecution witness in the murder trials of members of the Manson Family. Beach Boys Jakobson and Wilson wrote " Celebrate the News", "Forever", "Slip on Through" and " San Miguel" for the Beach Boys. The pair also wrote many songs together for Wilson's 1977 album ''Pacific Ocean Blue'' including " What's Wrong", " Moonshine", " Friday Night", " Dreamer", and " End of The Show", as well as "Baby Blue" and " You and I" with Karen Lamm. Robert Young (musician)
Robert "Throb" Young (19 November 1964 – 9 September 2014) was a Scottish musician. He was a member of the alternative rock band Primal Scream from 1984 to 2006. Career Young met Primal Scream singer Bobby Gillespie when they were both studying at King's Park Secondary School in Glasgow, and he joined the band in 1984. He performed on every Primal Scream album until his departure in 2006. He was originally the bass player. Primal Scream's debut album, ''Sonic Flower Groove'', was released in 1987. After the album was released, guitarist Jim Beattie left the band and Young took over that role. Following 2006's '' Riot City Blues'', Young left the band. Andrew Colin Innes (born 16 May 1962 in Glasgow) is a Scottish-born, London-based musician. He is best known for being the rhythm guitarist in Scottish rock band Primal Scream. Dennis Wilson
Dennis Carl Wilson (December 4, 1944 – December 28, 1983) was an American musician, singer, and songwriter who co-founded the Beach Boys. He is best remembered as their drummer and as the middle brother of bandmates Brian and Carl Wilson. Dennis was the only true surfer in the Beach Boys, and his personal life exemplified the " California Myth" that the band's early songs often celebrated.
