The division of Fraser was one of the two electorates of the unicameral Australian Capital Territory House of Assembly. It elected 9 members in 1975 and 1979, and 8 members in 1982. Unicameral
Unicameralism (from ''uni''- "one" + Latin ''camera'' "chamber") is a type of legislature, which consists of one house or assembly, that legislates and votes as one. Unicameral legislatures exist when there is no widely perceived need for multicameralism (two or more chambers). Many multicameral legislatures were created to give separate voices to different sectors of society. Multiple houses allowed, for example, for a guaranteed representation of different social classes (as in the Parliament of the United Kingdom or the French States-General). Australia Party
The Australia Party was a minor political party established initially in 1966 as the Liberal Reform Group. As the Australia Party, it became influential, particularly in the landmark 1972 federal election when its preferences assisted the Australian Labor Party to victory—ending 23 years of Liberal/Country Coalition government. The Australia Party grew out of the Liberal Reform Group, a group of members of the Liberal Party of Australia and Independents who opposed the party's policy of conscription and military involvement in the Vietnam War. Bill Pye
Thomas Wilbur Washington (‘Bill’) Pye (3 September 1912 – 3 October 1996) was an Australian politician. Early life Bill Pye was born in Harden, New South Wales, on 3 September 1912. He was the 3 x great grandson of Third Fleet convicts John Pye (who arrived on the ''Britannia'') and Mary Phillips (who arrived on the ''Mary Ann'') and who were married in Parramatta in 1791. He served with the Australian Military Forces in World War II. After the War, he settled in Canberra with his family, and joined the Commonwealth Public Service. He retired in 1972. Gregory Gane Cornwell (born 19 June 1938), former Australian politician, was a member of the unicameral Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly elected to the multi-member single constituency Assembly and later elected to represent the multi-member electorate of Molonglo for the Liberal Party. Cornwell also served in the elected ACT House of Assembly (a predecessor to the ACT Legislative Assembly), representing the electoral district of Fraser, from 1975 until 1986 for the Liberal Party. A warren is a network of wild rodent or lagomorph, typically rabbit burrows. Domestic warrens are artificial, enclosed establishment of animal husbandry dedicated to the raising of rabbits for meat and fur.
