Swedish Football Division 2
Division 2 is the fourth level in the Swedish football league system, league system of Swedish football and comprises 84 Swedish football (soccer), football teams. Division 2 had status as the official second level from 1928 to 1986 but was replaced by Division 1 (Swedish football), Division 1 in 1987. It then had status as the official third level until 2005 but was replaced once again by the recreated Division 1 in 2006. Overview In the Division, there are 84 clubs which are divided in six groups of 14 teams each representing a geographical area. During the course of a season (starting in April and ending in October) each club plays the others twice, once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents, for a total of 26 games. Mariehems SK
Mariehem SK (Mariehem sportklubb, MSK) is a Swedish football team from Mariehem in Umeå currently playing in Division 2 Norrland after finishing 8th in 2009. Background Mariehem SK was formed in 1974 and currently has 28 teams including junior teams (13 women's and girl's teams and 15 men's and boys teams). Sandvikens IF is a Swedish football club located in Sandviken. The club, formed 6 June 1918, has played 21 seasons in the highest Swedish league, but is in the third highest Swedish league, Division 1. Sandvikens IF are affiliated to the Gestriklands Fotbollförbund. As Sandviken is an industrial community, dominated by the steel and metal corporation Sandvik, the team has been much influenced by this. IK Frej is a Swedish sports club located in Täby kyrkby. It currently plays in Division 4, the sixth tier in Swedish football. Background IK Frej was founded 5 February 1968 by Åke Berghagen and his friends. Today, IK Frej has more than 1200 members, most of whom are active in the football section. Infjärdens SK is a Swedish football team from Roknäs in Piteå Municipality, Norrbotten that is currently playing in Division 3 Norra Norrland . Background Infjärdens SK (abbreviated ISK) originates from three clubs: *''Långnäs IF'' (formed 1931) specialising in football, bandy, skiing, athletics and hockey. *''Rokna IF'' (formed 1932) specialising in football, skiing, hockey and table tennis. *''Sjulnäs IF'' (formed 1943) specialising in football. In 1949 Sjulnäs IF merged with Rokna IF to become ''Rokna-Sjulnäs SK'' (RSSK). The main activities of the club were football and hockey.
