Diving competitions at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara were held from October 26 to October 29, at the Scotiabank Aquatics Center. The winner of each individual event earned their NOC a quota spot to compete at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Great Britain. Scotiabank Aquatics Center
The Scotiabank Aquatics Center is an aquatics center built for the 2011 Pan American Games in the municipality of Zapopan, near Guadalajara, Mexico. It was opened June 22, 2011, built at a cost of $ USD31.7m (380 million pesos). It is the most modern aquatic complex of its kind in Latin America, and considered to be the second best in the world by the Fédération Internationale de Natation. It has a permanent capacity 3,593, but will have a capacity of 5,000 spectators for the Pan American Games. The outside of the building is shaped like a wave. It contains two 50m Olympic sized pools and a diving tank. During the 2011 Pan America Games it will host the swimming, diving, synchronized swimming and water polo. After the Pan American Games it will used as a high performance training centre, and for the 2017 World Aquatics Championships. The center is sponsored by Scotiabank, a Canadian-based bank, which operates in Mexico under the name Scotiabank Inverlat. See also ...

Jennifer Abel
Jennifer Abel (born August 23, 1991) is a Canadian former diver. She is currently partnered with Mélissa Citrini-Beaulieu for synchronized diving. She won an Olympic bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the 3 m synchro diving event with Émilie Heymans and a silver medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the same event with Melissa Citrini-Beaulieu. Abel is a four-time Commonwealth Games champion in the 1 m and 3 m synchronized springboard; and is also a three-time Pan American Games champion in the 3 m springboard and 3 m synchronized springboard. Her ten medals (six silver, four bronze) at the FINA World Championships are a record for most medals by a Canadian in diving at the world championships. Meaghan Benfeito
Meaghan Benfeito (born March 2, 1989) is a Canadian diver. She used to compete in the 10m synchronized event with Roseline Filion before the latter retired in January 2017. Benfeito and Filion won bronze medals in the 10 m platform synchro event at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics, and in the latter event Benfeito also won a bronze medal in the 10 m platform individual event. Early life Benfeito was born on March 2, 1989, in Montreal, Quebec to Portuguese parents, Arthur Benfeito and Margarida Correia. She has younger twin sisters, Alicia and Chelsea. Career She began diving for Canada in 2005 and credits Emilie Heymans and Alexandre Despatie for inspiring her to take up the sport. Paola Espinosa
Paola Milagros Espinosa Sánchez (born 31 July 1986) is a Mexican diver and represented Mexico at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she was her national team's flagbearer, and the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. In 1987, the Espinosa Sánchez family moved to La Paz from Mexico City with Paola, who was barely nine months old. In Athens in 2004, from speciality platform jumps of 10 meters, she placed in the individual jump and fifth in synchronized jumps. José Antonio Guerra Oliva (born August 9, 1979 in Santiago de Cuba) is a male diver from Cuba.
