Division (mathematics)
Division is one of the four basic operations of arithmetic, the ways that numbers are combined to make new numbers. The other operations are addition, subtraction, and multiplication. At an elementary level the division of two natural numbers is, among other possible interpretations, the process of calculating the number of times one number is contained within another. This number of times need not be an integer. For example, if 20 apples are divided evenly between 4 people, everyone receives 5 apples (see picture). The division with remainder or Euclidean division of two natural numbers provides an integer ''quotient'', which is the number of times the second number is completely contained in the first number, and a ''remainder'', which is the part of the first number that remains, when in the course of computing the quotient, no further full chunk of the size of the second number can be allocated. ''Indestructible'' is the fourth studio album by American heavy metal band Disturbed. A self-produced effort, ''Indestructible'' is the first Disturbed album that did not feature Johnny K, the producer of Disturbed's previous three albums, ''The Sickness'', '' Believe'', and ''Ten Thousand Fists''. ''Indestructible'' was recorded at Groovemaster Studios in Chicago, Illinois. The album features two songs, "Perfect Insanity" and "Divide", that were written by Disturbed prior to their first album, ''The Sickness'', but were never previously released. The album shows Disturbed abandoning the nu metal sound prominent on previous three albums and features significantly darker themes than any of the their previous work, according to the band. Tom Waits
Thomas Alan Waits (born December 7, 1949) is an American musician, composer, songwriter, and actor. His lyrics often focus on the underbelly of society and are delivered in his trademark deep, gravelly voice. He worked primarily in jazz during the 1970s, but his music since the 1980s has reflected greater influence from blues, rock, vaudeville, and experimental genres. Waits was born and raised in a middle-class family in California. Inspired by the work of Bob Dylan and the Beat Generation, he began singing on the San Diego folk music circuit as a young man. He relocated to Los Angeles in 1972, where he worked as a songwriter before signing a recording contract with Asylum Records. The Continental Divide (album)
''The Continental Divide'' is the debut album from American rock band War Tapes. It was written and recorded from 2008 to early 2009 in Los Angeles, and released on May 26, 2009, on Sarathan Records. Recording and critical reception The album was recorded during 2008 and 2009 in Los Angeles. During that time, the band released an E.P. of seven songs, four of which would end up on The Continental Divide. Those songs: "Dreaming of You", "Start Again", "She Lied" and "Mind Is Ugly" were remastered for the new album. Most of the writing and recording of the album was done at Regime Studios, with the band's drummer William Mohler serving as producer. Since the album's release, it's received very positive reviews from numerous sites, some of which include: Ripplemusic, Indiemusicnews, Indieblips, Shakefire.com. The Virginmarys are an English rock duo from Macclesfield, England.
