''Diva'' (stylized as ''DIVA'') is the twenty third studio album by Japanese singer Akina Nakamori and final studio album to be released during the 2000s. It was released on 26 August 2009 under the Universal Music Japan label. The album includes music producers from the United States. The album includes Akina's original written songs "Heartbreak" (under her pseudonym Miran:Miran). It's the Nakamori's first studio album to be released in both regular ad limited editions. Limited edition includes remixed versions of Diva and Heartache. The original version of Heartache is included only in the single Diva Single Version. Akina Nakamori
is a Japanese Singing, singer and Actor, actress. She is one of the most popular and best-selling artists in Japan. Akina achieved national recognition after winning the 1981 season of the talent show ''Star Tanjō!''. Her debut single "Slow Motion (Akina Nakamori song), Slow Motion" was released to moderate success, peaking at number thirty on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart. Nakamori's popularity increased with the release of her follow-up single, "Shōjo A", which peaked at number five on the Oricon charts and sold over 390,000 copies. Rick Smith (musician)
Richard Smith (born 25 May 1959) is a Welsh musician and composer. He is a founding member of British electronic music group Underworld and an acclaimed composer, having collaborated extensively with director Danny Boyle, most notably as the musical director for the London 2012 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony, alongside Underworld's Karl Hyde. He is also a founding member of the multi-discipline design and film collective Tomato. Career Smith left a bank clerk job in Llanelli to do an electronic and electrical engineering degree; however, he dropped out during his finals after being asked to join Hyde’s band The Screen Gemz. In 1983 they formed Freur and recorded two albums for CBS Records International. The group disbanded in 1986. Written by Ryohei Matsufuji, Philippe-Marc Anquetil, Chris Lee-Joe, and Emma Rohan, the single was released on September 23, 2009, by Universal Sigma. It was also the lead single from her 23nd studio album '' Diva''. Background "Diva Single Version" was Nakamori's first single in three years, after the 2005 release "Hana yo Odore".
