Nancy Ditz
Nancy Jane Ditz (born June 25, 1954 in San Jose, California) is a former American long-distance runner who is a United States national champion in the marathon. Ditz competed in the marathon at the 1988 Summer Olympics. In her debut marathon, Ditz won the 1982 San Francisco Marathon (2:44:34). She also set a course record at the 1985 California International Marathon with a time of 2:31:36. Nancy worked to promote the 2009 Los Angeles Marathon with fellow Olympians Rod Dixon and Ed Eyestone. Nancy Ditz Mosbacher is a member of the 1988 United States Olympic team. She finished first among American (17th overall) in the Athletics at the 1988 Summer Olympics – Women's marathon. Ditz Mosbacher graduated from Stanford while competing as a diver and crew member, and did not begin running competitively until age 25. Ditz (band)
Ditz (often stylised DITZ) is an English rock band that formed in Brighton in 2016. The band consists of Cal Francis (vocals), Caleb Remnant (bass), Anton Mocock (Guitar), Jack Looker (Guitar), Sam Evans (Drums). Background The band formed in 2016 in Brighton, with the members being involved in the various music scenes in the city. The original founders, Cal Francis, and Caleb Remnant grew up together in Gloucestershire, and had tried to form bands with limited success. Later that year, Anton Mocock joined the band, followed by then drummer, Jack Looker, who joined Ditz in early 2017, with Sam Evans finalising the line up in early 2019. In 2020, the band released their EP, ''5 Songs'', which included a collection of singles previously released in 2018 to 2019. Around this time, the band signed on to Alcopop! Records. ''John Ditz'' is a former NASCAR Grand National Series car owner whose career spanned from 1954 to 1955. Career He employed Arden Mounts, Dick Rathmann, and Donald Thomas for his 52-race career as a NASCAR owner. Ditz's drivers earned two NASCAR victories in addition to 30 finishes in the "top five" and 35 finishes in the "top ten." These drivers also earned seven pole positions and lead 850 laps out of 7321. Ditz's drivers started in sixth place on average and finished in 10th place on average; for a grand total of raced. This owner competed in the 1955 Southern 500; with one of the highest paying prize purses prior to the 1959 Daytona 500. The Ditz is a small river in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It flows into the Fils in Bad Ditzenbach. Geography Course The ''Ditz'' has its source at about 675 m above sea level in the slope debris below the ''Schläfhalde'' in a side valley between the Schloßberg with the Hiltenburg and the Oberbergfels. On the upper reaches the stream bed has numerous tufa terraces over which the water flows in small waterfalls. the tufa terraces have been designated as natural monuments. Just before it reaches Bad Ditzenbach, the Badwiesenbach flows towards it on its right side. In Bad Ditzenbach it finally flows into the upper Fils from the right at a height of about 504 m.
