District Heights–Suitland Line
The District Heights–Suitland Line, designated Route V12, is a daily bus route operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority between the Addison Road station of the Blue & Silver Lines of the Washington Metro and Suitland station of the Green Line of the Washington Metro. The line operates every 30–40 minutes on weekdays and 60 minutes on weekends. V12 trips are roughly 35 minutes long. Background Route V12 operates daily between Addison Road station and Suitland station connecting Capitol Heights, Coral Hills, Walker Mill, District Heights, Suitland neighborhoods to both stations. Route V12 currently operates out of Landover division. Forestville is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. Per the 2020 census, the population was 12,831. The community is a mixture of garden apartments, single-family homes, and shopping centers built mostly from the 1930s through 1970s, adjacent to the communities of District Heights, Suitland, Morningside, Westphalia and Camp Springs. Forestville is located close to the town of Upper Marlboro, where many Prince George's County Board Offices are located. The Forestville Line, designated as Route K12, is a daily bus route operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority between Suitland station and Branch Avenue station of the Green Line of the Washington Metro. The line operates every 15 – 45 minutes during weekdays and 60 minutes during weekends. Trips are roughly 30 – 40 minutes long. Maryland Route 458 (MD 458) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. Known as Silver Hill Road, the highway runs from MD 5 in Silver Hill north to Walker Mill Road in District Heights.
