"Distance" is a song by South Korean rock band F.T. Island. It is their sixth single under Warner Music Japan and ninth single overall in Japan. The song was written by Kenn Kato, Song Seunghyun and Lee Jaejin, and composed by Corin. It was released on November 30, 2011, in three editions: a Standard Edition, and Limited Edition Types A and B. The single debuted at number four on the Oricon weekly chart and at number eight on the ''Billboard'' Japan Hot 100. It went on to sell over 44,500 copies in Japan. Composition "Distance" was written by Kenn Kato, Song Seunghyun and Lee Jaejin, and composed by Corin. ''20 wenty' (stylized as ''20 wenty') is the third studio album released in Japan by South Korean rock band F.T. Island. It is their second studio album under Warner Music Japan and third studio album overall in the country. Recorded in South Korea in the midst of the band's promotions there, the band aimed to make ''20 wenty' their most mature album to date. The album spawned three singles prior to its release—"Let It Go!", "Distance", and "Neverland"—which all charted within the top ten spots of the weekly Oricon singles chart. ''20 wenty' was released on May 16, 2012, in three editions: a CD-only edition, a CD and DVD edition, and a Lawson edition. The was a record chart that ranks the best selling digital singles in Japan, with data provided by the Recording Industry Association of Japan from April 2009. The chart measures cellphone downloads (着うたフル ''Chaku-Uta Full'') (not downloads from PCs, or ringtones (着うた ''Chaku-Uta'')). On July 27, 2012, the service that tracked the charts was shut down. History The RIAJ originally started certifying digital downloads in August 2006. At the same time, they began posting a monthly chart called the (officially the ). The Blackbyrds are an American rhythm and blues and jazz-funk fusion group, formed in Washington, D.C., in 1973 and reformed in 2012 by Keith Killgo. History The group was inspired by trumpeter Donald Byrd and featured some of his Howard University students: Kevin Toney (keyboards), Keith Killgo ( vocals, drums), Joe Hall ( bass guitar), Allan Barnes ( saxophone, clarinet), and Barney Perry ( guitar). Choi Jong-hoon (, ; born March 7, 1990) is a South Korean former musician and actor. He served as the leader, guitarist, and keyboardist of rock band F.T. Island from its debut in 2007 until his retirement from the entertainment industry in 2019. On March 14, 2019, Choi retired from the entertainment industry, amidst allegations of being involved in bribery and sharing of illicit sex videos and pictures, a part of the Jung Joon-young KakaoTalk chatrooms, first revealed in the Burning Sun scandal. On November 29, 2019, Choi was found guilty and sentenced to five years in prison.
